This nostalgic hometown engagement was a special session for me. It included two of my best friends and brought me back to my hometown, Martinez, California.
To start things off we met at Jasmine’s favorite coffee shop, Barrelista, where good coffee and laughs were shared. Next, we wandered the town, as we had done so many tiems before making our way to Five Sons Brewery were we shared beer and more laughs. Although we had done these same things many times, this time was different. We were celebrating them and documenting their life and love story in a few of their favorite places.

Martinez is a unique little town. It’s funny, in my youth, I couldn’t wait to move away, but as an adult, it’s warm and charming, with its old buildings and brick-walled allies. It’s full of history. It’s home. After our fill of drinks and wandering, we headed into the rolling hills of Briones East Bay Regional park to finish up this nostalgic hometown engagement photo shoot.
When mother nature conspires, this is the result, a fiery orange and pink-hued sky, the wind, and a badass woman rocking that gorgeous silk windswept dress. This is what I got to witness in the rolling hills during this session. Breath taking.

Robbie and Jasmine, it was an extraordinary honor to document this special chapter of your lives. I can’t express to you the joy I feel deep in my heart that you two found each other.
To love and your new adventure together,
Jess
