The wedding industry is full of ‘shoulds’, rules, checklists and trends. But I say, ditch them. There's no right or wrong way to get married. I won't dictate the photos you 'should' have, or how you 'should' cut the cake or walk down the aisle. I don't come into your wedding with an agenda or pre-defined shot list. Instead, I walk into your wedding day wide-eyed, curious and with the goal of documenting a story—the feeling of the place, the love and connection of the people, and the details that make it feel tangible. Having flexibility rather than a rigid shot list means that I am present to notice and document the authentic, often un-expected, un-staged moments.

Even though most of the day's photo coverage is candid and un-scripted, most of my couples still choose to document family, group and couple's portraits. I believe these images matter too (but are best done quickly so you can get back to the party ;) Family photos is the one part of the day I operate off of an exact shot list. Efficiency with this one is key, and always appreciated by all! For couple's photos, we go for a stroll and you bask in some celebratory 'just us' time away from it all. I take a relaxed approach. Instead of stiff poses, I prompt you to play and genuinely connect, while also giving you time to take a breather and just 'be' together.
